The Persian Kittens® Vitamin Cocktail

Even if your pet's food labels say it's complete and balanced, optimum nutrition for your pets means you have to supplement their diet.

Four main categories of supplements to be added regardless of what you feed your pets are:

•EFA's: Essential Fatty Acids are used to build cell membranes and are the key ingredient in brain cell membrane. Your pet's body cannot make them, so it must be added. Omega 3, Omega 6 found in Fish and Flax Seed oils are good sources of EFA's.

•Antioxidants: Vitamin C in the form of bioflavinoids which is a whole food complex, as opposed to regular vitamin C. Research shows cats can produce their own vitamin C but not enough for stressfull conditions.

•Digestive Enzymes: So your pet will get the most nutrition out of the food they eat, any human digestive enzyme that is plant based will do as long as it contains the following:

Protease:to help in the digestion of proteins
Lypase: to help in the digestion of fats
Amylase: to help in the digestion of starches
Cellulase: to help in the digestion of greens

•Prebiotics: Acidophilus, Inulin. Each one of these probiotics will put benficial bacteria into the digestive system of your pet. Probiotics have the potential for preventing and treating health conditions is at an early stage.

Making The Persian Kittens® Vitamin Cocktail©:

This vitamin cocktail will make a powder that you sprinkle on your pet's food every other day. The following cocktail mixture will make enough for 2 weeks, you can of coarse make as much ahead of time as you want.

• 7 cat or dog chewable vitamins, any brand will do even the one from Walmart
• 2 digestive enzymes~any brand with the enzymes listed above
• 2 vitamin C tablets
• Open the capsule of 2 acidophilus caps, or 1/4 teaspoon of inulin powder
• 2 vitamin E capsules-open the capsule for the powder
• 2 vitamin A capsules-open the capsule for the powder
• 4 capsules of taurine-open the capsule for the powder
• 1/4 teaspoon of liver powder (it's loaded with argenine)

Crush all the items into a powder mixture that can be sprinkled on dry, canned, wet or raw food. (You can order a pill crusher here).No matter what you're currently feeding your pet, they can all benefit from The Persian Kittens® Vitamin Cocktail©. Lastly, break open a capsule of Fish Oil, or Flax Seed Oil (both contain Omega 3 efa's) and drip it on the food and vitamin cocktail. That's it! Don't use human multivitamins for your pets especially cats, it's too high in iron which cats can't properly digest. All the items can be purchased at any Walmart, K-Mart, or your local brand grocery store's pet and vitamin sections. Taurine, Inulin and Liver powder are the only items that are probably available only at a health food store. Don't fret if any one of the items can't be found. mix up what you can. Even if you only crush up the chewable vitamins and sprinkle it on dry food (kibble) you are still doing alot for the health of your pet.
