Persian Kittens® Diet

Based on a rotation diet, we will give a sample menu plan for one week. You can mix and match any of the days, and soon you will develop your own schedule you and your pet are happy with. If you're ready to feed your pet the proper carnivorous diet appropriate for it, and even if you're not ready to do it everyday, you can try this diet for at least one of the meals a day, or every other day.
What's important is you give your pets the chance of getting the nutrition that your pet needs for optimum health.

When buying meat, look for a "sell by date" five days from the day you are purchasing. That's the freshest, because it was put our that day. Try not to buy less than that 5 day limit. Meats we use are steak (any cut is fine), boneless chicken breast, chicken thighs, turkey breast, turkey thigh, chicken gizzards and hearts, & organic eggs. We avoid pork and human tuna. If feeding any fish, lightly steam or boil. When cutting the meat, include all the fat, it's good for your pet's fur. We also buy from local farms that do not use chemicals in the feed of their animals, however as long as you choose meat that you would eat it's fine for your pets. (Organic is the best, but not necessary)

Next treat the your pet's meals as you do yours. Put the meal on a clean plate big enough for you pets head to fit around, (we prefer a flat 8"plate). Once the meal is over, remove the plate and clean it. Always handle your pets meat with the same "safe handling" cleaning procedures as you would for your meat preparations.

Once the meat is cleaned by rinsing in hot water for 30 seconds or until it looks completely rinsed, cut the meat with kitchen scissors. Raw meat is easier to cut with scissors. Cut the meat in bite size pieces. For kittens or puppies the pieces should be the size of a large pea or a dime. For an adult, the size can be the size of quarter, (it doesn't need to be round!). The amount to feed is approximately the amount that would fill half a can of tuna, which you can adjust more or less after you see how your pet handles this amount. For roughage you can cut small amounts of carrots (cut very small) or any other fibrous vegetable available, and or you can put out small amounts of the kibble (grain free only) only after the raw main meal is finished. Do not leave it out at all times, try to use it as a snack only!

We feed twice a day, once in the morning, and again in the evening. If there is any left over from any meal you may refrigerate till the next meal, but keep it in a separate container from that of the other meat. Sprinkle The Persian Kittens® Vitamin Cocktail© on top of the meat. Remenber to leave out plenty of fresh clean water, in clean containers (try not to use plastic). That's it!
